All participants must pick up their pre-paid participation credentials at the credential office prior to participation.  This must be done in person.  It can be done anytime the office is open prior to your event.  Please bring identifying documents to verify you are a first responder. (Dept ID Card, Payroll stub with Drivers License etc…   A Badge will not qualify as an identifying document)   The credential office is open from 7 am til 5pm from May 31st til June 12th.  There will be an additional fee for participants that do not register before May 15th.  

Participants will not be allowed to participate without proper credentials on their person at the time of event.   No other person except the registered participant may pick up their credentials, please don’t ask – no exceptions – get your own credentials!!

• 12” slow pitch balls will be provided and the only ones to be used.
• Participant may utilize their own bat as long as it has a bpf of 1.20 or greater.  It also has to be legally stamped with an NSA, USSSA or ASA certification on it.  If in the opinion of the event coordinator,  the bat appears to be tampered with, or altered in any fashion – the bat will be disqualified for use.
• Participants must provide their own pitcher. The same pitcher may be used for multiple batters. Pitchers may take up to 5 warm-up pitches before Round. The pitcher must start on the rubber or within 2 feet behind the rubber.
• A legal pitch shall be a ball that is delivered underhand and a slow to moderate speed. The ball must reach a height of at least 6 feet. There is no limit to the height of the pitch. Any pitch that fails to reach an arc of 6 feet, or is thrown with excessive speed in the opinion of the event official, will be declared an illegal This pitch will not be scored.
• Once a player begins a Round with a pitcher, no pitching changes will be allowed. The participant must finish that current Round with that pitcher, unless there is an injury to the pitcher. In the emergency case of injury, you may borrow another player’s pitcher.
• Participants will be randomly numbered for batting
• Pitchers can pitch the next pitch after the ball hits the ground or goes over the fence
• The contest will consist of multiple rounds
  • In the 1^st Round each player will be given 20 swings to hit as many home runs as possible. The number of participants advancing to the 2^nd Round will be four and determined based upon the number of homeruns in Round 1. If there is a tie – there will be a 3 swing bat off.  The batter with the most home runs after the bat off advances.
  • In the 2^nd Round the top 4 hitters from Round 1 will go head-to-head in a single elimination bracket format. 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3.  Each player will be given 15 swings to hit as many home runs as possible. Point totals from the 1^st Round will not be carried over to the 2^nd . Those who advance to the 2^nd Round will start with a score of 0 at the beginning of the Round. Batting order is determined by number of home runs in Round 1 – lowest home runs bats first, Most home runs bats second.
  • These 4 hitters from Round 2 will compete in the medal rounds following the single elimination bracket format established in round 2.  The 2 winners from round 2 face off for the gold/silver, the 2 losers face off for the bronze.
• If there is a tie in any round – there will be a 30 second bat off. The batter with the most home runs after the bat off advances.  No time outs are allowed in the bat offs.
