Pickleball

All participants must pick up their pre-paid participation credentials at the host hotel prior to participation.  This must be done in person.  It can be done anytime prior to your event.  Please bring identifying documents to verify you are a first responder. (Dept ID Card, Payroll stub with Drivers License etc…   A Badge will not qualify as an identifying document)   The credential office is open from 7 am til 5pm from September 8 til Sept 13th .

Participants will not be allowed to participate without proper credentials on their person at the time of event.   No other person except the registered participant may pick up their credentials, please don’t ask – no exceptions – get your own credentials!!

Note:  If you are still in possesion of your June 2024 credentials from another event – those are good – there is no need to get new ones from the host hotel.  But if you no longer have them – you will need to go and get a replacement

Tuesday  – Doubles Information

Attached is the Doubles Day Planner.

 Notes:

• Pool play matches will consist of 1 game to 11 points win by 2
• Playoff matches will consist of 1 game to 15 points win by 2
• Gold and Bronze medal matches will consist of best 2 of 3 games to 11 win by 2
• For brackets consisting of one (1) pool:
  • Single round robin; no playoff
  • Medals awarded to the teams with the most wins
  • In the event of a tie, the following tiebreak criteria will be used:
    • 1 – Head-to-head win
    • 2 – Point differential
    • 3 – Performance against the best team
• For brackets consisting of two (2) pools:
  • The two teams with the most wins from each pool will advance to the playoffs
  • The same tiebreak criteria as above will be used
• For brackets consisting of three (3) pools:
  • The team with the most wins from each pool will advance to the playoffs
  • The fourth team will be the one with the highest win:loss ratio
• For brackets consisting of four (4) pools:
  • The team with the most wins from each pool will advance to the playoffs

These are the start times:

• 8:30 AM:  Check In by 8:15
  • Men’s Doubles Over 40
  • Men’s Doubles Over 50 

 10:10 AM: Check In by 10:00

• • Women’s Doubles Open 
  • Men’s Doubles Over 30 

 12:30 PM: Check in by 12:00

• • Men’s Doubles Open

• 2:00 PM: Check in by 1:15
  • Co-ed Doubles Open

Other notes: 

• Court #1 will not be used
• Teams may use any available court to warm up, making sure that they do not interrupt the flow of a match on an adjacent court
• We anticipate finishing by 3:40 PM

 Please excuse the delay in getting this information to you and the players.  It is quite a challenge trying to accommodate the needs of the various age groups and coordinating play.
