All Shooters
Due to the incoming inclement weather, the shooting events for this week have been postponed. All shooting events including, Trap, Skeet, Clays, Five Stand, Practical Pistol, and Practical Shotgun events are included in this postponement. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we have no other options available. We will be rescheduling the event for the month of September, with the exact dates forthcoming. Updates will be posted on the events pages of the website as well as follow up emails.
If you have hotel reservations that were made through our reservation company, you may call them at 470-231-2025 and get them canceled/modified.
Because many participants have email addresses that are less than accurate- if you know of other participants in the event, please pass on the information.
At this time – that is all we have – Follow up emails will be coming after the games end.

Due to the distance from the main host hotel in Palm Beach – Participants in this event can get their credentials when they check in at the OK Corral. No need to go to Palm Beach County to get credentials for this event.

Event Rules
The caliber can be any centerfire except magnum calibers.
Steel core or armor piercing ammo not allowed
There will be 4 Stages, falling steel, 51 rounds minimum, 100 plus recommended. Unlimited (Comstock) scoring, shooter may use as many rounds as needed to complete the stage. Each stage will consist of 12 to 14 falling steel targets per stage. Stages scored with time plus scoring, steel must fall to score, 5 seconds for each miss, 5 seconds for each procedural. Time starts with the buzzer and ends with the last shot. Competitors will start with pistol on a table in front of the shooter. No limit on magazine capacities and the pistol may reload at any time once the timer has started. Shooters will need to carry enough rounds on their person to complete the stage. Each squad will need to reset and paint steel between each shooter. Scoring will be done electronically.
Procedurals: Not shooting at a target, shooting outside the shooting area, not following stage instructions, etc.
Range Policies: Range is a Cold range, handle firearms only in the safe area or when directed by a range officer. Handguns need to be bagged or holstered at all times. Please remember the 4 rules of gun safety at all times.
Safety disqualifications:
Handling a firearm anywhere outside a safe table.
Dropping a loaded firearm.
Sweeping yourself or anyone else
Accidental discharge while moving or reloading.
Accidental discharge within 10 feet of the shooter.
Any discharge which goes over the berm.
Muzzle breaking the 180 degrees side to side or up and down.

If clear, hammer down and holster or bag (close slide and pull the trigger while aiming at a berm)

general information
Awards
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the first three places in each class and division. The Lewis scoring system will be used to determine Classifications. The competitors will be arranged by scores best to worse and the field will be divided into thirds. Example if we have 21 shooters, 1, 2, and 3 will receive medals in the expert class; 8, 9, and 10 will receive medals in the sharpshooter class; 15, 16, and 17 will receive medals in the marksman class.

Centerfire only, no laser sights allowed. Scopes and red dots allowed only on semi -auto with optics division
For all events: Current NRA rules shall apply to this sport except where the FRS rules take precedent over the NRA Rules, such as eligibility, awards, number of team members, etc.
